Hello everyone,
Can someone explain what is the EMC filter? Is is EMI, RFI, or harmonics filtering?
thanks,
Luc

Hello Luc
EMC stands for Electromagnetic Compatibility and is a European requirement.
The EMC standards cover electromagnetic interference generated by the equipment and electromagnetic interference to the equipment.
The standards cover radiated and conducted emmissions and cover a very wide frequency spectrum up to 1GHz.
They include electrostatic discharge tests to all exposed conductors and control circuits.
Harmonics are handled separately.
