i have an oriental electromagnetic brake motor which is single phase input at 230V. Now , i just thinking want to add a speed control funtion to it. is their any solution for this?

need speed controller!

Hello mikedee
I don't believe that there is an easy solution to your request if the motor is a single phase induction motor.
There are many inverter options for varying the speed of a three phase motor, but standard inverters are not an option for single phase motors.
Variable voltage control can be used on high slip single phase motors, but these are a special motor, generally used as an integral part of a fan assembly.
Perhaps someone else can come up with an option.
Best regards.
