Hi people,
If you explore the methods of torque control of induction motors, two methods are foremost (a) Field Oriented Control, in which current controllers are used and (B) Direct Torque Control (DTC) in which torque and flux are directly controlled. The point to ponder is, what happens to the current in a DTC drive, when there is a torque dynamic. Is it not dangerous to use the DTC method as it has no provisions to limit the drive current.
