Greetings,
Am interested to know if a factory already has a capacitor bank would adding static capacitors to the large motors be of any help?
what would be the consequences if any?
would there any savings?

If the bulk correction is large enough to fully correct the plant, there would be no advantage of adding static correction. If however, the power factor is dropping when all machines are running and the bulk correction is all in circuit, then you have the option of adding static correction to some of the machines, or increasing the capacitance of the correcting bank.
