Hello Sweet
There are products that claim to save energy on induction motors and there are a number of discussions on this forum.
The amount of energy wasted by induction motors is typically very small compared to the energy wasted by the driven loads.
Commonly, the energy saving devices can only reduce a portion of the iron loss when the motor is at very light load.
Variable frequency drives are commonly used to slow down machines that are operating inefficiently to cause them to operate more efficiently. Example applications are pumps, fans and compressors where the load is variable.
Best regards,
Mark.
