I recently commissioned a Danfoss inverter VLT-5000 (open loop control) which is connected with a 30KW flywheel connected motor in a die cut machine. Problem which I facing that when we increase/decrease the speed (hard contact to drive SP UP/DN terminals), the speed increases/decreases very slowly while I set the ramp up and dn time just only 2sec. Can anyone help me out how to resolve that problem?

Problem In Accel/ Decel Time Setting With Danfoss Inverter.

Hello AB2005
It sounds as though you are using the "motorised pot" option.
In this mode, you normally have a response time as well as the ramp up and ramp down time.
I do not have a manual at home with me, but I will try to find the time to look it up later today.
The other issue can be that if you try to accelerate too fast and the inertia is high, the drive can over-ride your acceleration settings if it is going into a current/torque limit.
Best regards,
Mark.
