Hello toprange
KWhr is measured by the use of a rotating disk KWHr meter (or an electronic equivilent). This responds to KW drawn from the supply and accumulates this.
KVA is measured by a peak reading ameter that has a slow response. This meter is generally refered to as a MDI or a Maximum Demand Indicator.
The KVA is the maximum current times the phase voltage times root three.
