Hi there, i need some input from you guys. I have this Siemens VFD installed in our plant. It drives a 11kw motor to rotate a Drum/cylinder. All of the time when i stopped it, the VFD gives an alarm of phase loss. I tried to measure the voltage while stopping but the voltage is present at all phase. I have tried to adjust the ramp down time but no success is obtained... Hope you can help me on this.. TNX

VFD Is tripping when command stop is given

Hi
I have come across this type of performance if the inertia of the drum is too high, or is unbalanced.
I would try to set the ramp down period to a long setting, or to set the stop mode to coast down.
Best regards,

I would also make sure that you do not have a safety system which disconnects power every time you stop the drum.
