I have 2 large late 60's era wood speaker cabinets with 13" (I think, I can measure them) woofers and holes made for tweeters. These are about 3' high, 4' wide, 2' deep and weigh around 200 pounds each....I haven't hooked them up to see if they work or not, but I can....they have removable fabric fronts and could very easily be painted. I have and can take more pictures if you're interested.
These have been in my Family for at least 38 years that I'm aware of, and they have not been moved a lot....maybe 3 times in 38 years. They look cool, and can obviously have new speakers installed I just don't have room for these anymore.... email me if you'd like pictures, put 60'S LARGE SPEAKERS in the subject please so I don't trash the email as spam....send to me: mark.he@verizon.net thanks, Mark

Hi,
I hope this hasn't been asked already, I browsed around a little, and didn't see anything....I'm fairly new to motor control and read somewhere that you could soft start a motor by putting series resistors inline and shunting them with time delay relay contacts.....what would be the best way to go about selecting the value/wattage for these resistors? As a starting point, we could assume a 230vac 3phase 8 FLA motor..... Thanks, Mark |
