I have Vacon brand inverter (5.5 CXS4A2IA) installed in one part of my Corrugator machine. The inverter controls the speed of motor which rotates a shaft having slitting tools. I want that when I enable the inverter and speed reference = 0V, it provide 5HZ output frequency to motor (like an idle speed) but there is no any parameter found except "Minimum Speed". When I set a value in this field, the inverter adds such value in out put frequency when I provide 0-10VDC signal to drive.
For example, if I set 0-10V = 0-100HZ, means 1volt = 10HZ and then set a value say 5 in "Minimum Speed", now drive provides almost 5HZ if speed reference = 0 but if I give a speed reference 1volt, the out put frequency, which should be 10HZ, increases at almost 15HZ. Normally there is a parameter in inverters "Minimum Frequency" and if we set a value in this parameter, the drive provides same output frequency when it enables and the speed reference = 0V. Please help how I can set the idle speed of the motor connected with this inverter.

Dear All
I want to deeply study about the operation of frequency inverters and there parameters because some time we don’t know about the function of some parameters in inverter. Anyone knows about any website?

Dear All
We have a DC drive 220KW for a DC motor 218KW 400V in our Corrugator machine. I want o install three digital ampere meters for displaying the armature current of motor at three different places. One meter would be installed at DC drive panel and two would be installed about 40meters away from DC drive panel. Please assist if is it possible with only one SHUNT or I would have to install one shunt for each meter?

Dear All
I have a Parker brand SBC Servo motor 335VAC 0.62kw which is controlled by a servo motor drive. The motor consist of winding, thermister, brake and a Resolver for feed back to drive. When I started the motor with servo drive, it draw unbalance current and motor shaft vibrated. I checked the winding and found ok. Then I concluded that problem was in the Resolver. I tested the drive by connected another servo motor and found ok. I tried to test the motor without Resolver connected but when I disconnected the resolver, drive went in to fault. Is it possible to test the Servo motor by Inverter instead of Servomotor Drive?

Dear All
We have an application where we have to run a 380V, 50Hz, 1.5Kw, 4poles geared motor (20rpm) on 100Hz. This motor works for a short moment; 25sec working time and 25minutes rest time. What would be any disadvantages for that usage? Any care should i taken for a preventive action as we are runing 10 motors in same pattern. |
