Siemens Ltd. Australia and New Zealand announced the acquisition of the business of Emsby Pty Ltd., a Queensland-based electrical drives technology company supplying the infrastructure and process industries.

The operations of Emsby will add value to the Siemens Industrial Automation & Control (IAC) group by further increasing its engineering, system integration and after market services to the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Emsby specialises in the application and system integration of medium and low voltage variable frequency drives and electronic soft starters to a variety of industries. In the medium voltage drives segment, Emsby has also established a solid reputation with the Perfect Harmony product manufactured by Robicon, a company which was acquired by Siemens in 2005.
