Linearized State Space Model Of Single-phase Induction Motor, Split-phase :single phase Induction motor

Does any body know how to obtain a linearized state space model of a single-phase induction motor (with a permanent capacitor). I would like to design a controller using LTI tools (Laplace Transforms) and hopefully do parameter estimation as well. Any way around multiple reference theory.
