What is Reacceleration protection in Induction motor?

one possible reply is: big motors cannot be started too frequently, specially if load inertia is high. For some minutes after starting, during deceleration for loss of power, this protection will avoid that the motor will restart, reaching an hot temperature in the rotor. Another version is to protect against short term power losses that may allow a motor to be reconnected to the line before the magnetic field collapses. If that happens, the motor may still be in regeneration and when reconnected, the two power sources are out of sync, which causes a violent voltage spike. Re-acceleration protection just ensures that on 2-wire control systems, if the power goes out, however briefly, there will always be a delay of a few seconds before the motor controller reconnects to the line.

Is that mean Re-accleration protection stop motor has voltage spike(supply voltage drop below undervoltage) occurs and Start motor after specifid delay? |
