What will be the distance limitation of 4-20mA signal?
what are all the parameters which limits /to be considered if we carry a long distance 4-20mA signal? |

Hello rseee
The maximum distance that a 4 - 20mA can be carried is dependent on the open circuit source voltage, receiver resistance and the line resistance. The maximum theoretical total resistance of the lines and load is equal to the source voltage / 20mA. If there is significant electrical noise in the immediate environment, then there can be issues with errors due to the induced noise.
