Hi,

I'm a "mechatronic girl" rolleyes.gif but kind of new in this world motor.

I am in an intership and my main task is understanding Brushless DC motors in a deep way in order to design a controller and a PCB for one of them.

Even I have been reading, there are some things I can not totally understand and is the main difference between PMSM and BLDC..

is the PMSM a subcategory of the BLDC?

does the PMSM generate everytime a sinusoidal signal and the BLDC a trapezoidal one?

I have more questions.. but I think by dissipating these 2, I could manage to solve the rest of them

thanx a lot
have a nice day people smile.gif
