Motor Runs With Ground Lifted

120 volt ac motor trips breaker when switched on but will run with ground lifted and has 80 vac between wall socket ground and motor body.

has one cap and one four terminal relay or starter switch.

motor has five wires. black,yellow,blue,white, and ground.

I would like to add the machine that this motor is mounted to is metal and that 80 vac will have a nice bite.
what could be causing this. please help.
