This is my first post in the forum.

What is Speed loop in Drives? Is it related to Encoder or Tacho?

What is Current loop ?

Hello ShyGuy

I assume that you are referring to the internal workings of a vector drive, rather than the external connections to a standard drive.
If this is the case, then the vector control model needs to know what the motor speed is and what the motor current is. These values are used within the control algorithm as a current loop (a control system controlling the current) and a speed loop ( contol system controlling the exact motor speed or slip))
