Wiring appliance motors

How do I wire up an appliance motor like a washer, dryer or dishwasher motor to run for use on bench grinder,fan etc. Thanks olcar54

all you do is fit a plug to the cable

Make sure the cooling air from the motors own fan blows towards the fan/grinder e.t.c. unless you have a good supply of bearings and enjoy stripping down and cleaning motors on a regular basis. Also make sure that if you use the motor as a fan drive that the fan blows away from the motor thus drawing cool fresh air along the motor. Finally and most importantly earth the motor frame and use an appropriate earth leakage trip, cheers from the Well.
