Motor Protection Numerical Relay, you have a separate numerical relay for LV motor&HTmotor.

you have separate numerical relay for LV motor &HT motor.Can you use the LV motor numerical relay for HT motor protection without any modificationHT motor protection

I dont see any difference b/w LT and HT motor protection. I think same relay can be used

following to be considered


a) If u use the low imp. scheme for earth fault then u may have to recalculate the stabilizing resistor value

cool.gif Revision of the protection settings as per HT motor char. , fault currents at the bus

c) CT PT ration as per the new set up
