If the manufacturer data is not available, what one should see wheather a motor is explosion proof or not. Lots of thanks for any replies. marke
Hello Rizwan For a motor to be used in a hazardous zone, it must be certified to do so. This does not necessarily mean that there will be any significant changes in the motor design, just that it has been tested and certified. You must not use a motor in a hazardous zone just because it looks OK, you must have positive proof and you must use it according to the manufacturers recommendations. If the motor is certified to be used with DOL starters, it does not mean that you can use it on a VFD. That requires separate certification. mariomaggi
Hallo rizwan, don't use any motor without specific certificate in an hazardous area! You could kill someone in case of sparks! ! ! ! Regards Mario Mario Maggi - Italy - http://www.evlist.it - https://www.axu.it
