bob
Hi, We have an old( 1980 ) liquid starter for a 500 kW 400 V slip ring motor. We have got an offer for this starter but I dont have any idea about the cost of a new starter of this size. It is also worth mentioning that the starter is still in good working condition. Any guess ? Bob
GGOSS
Hi Bob, Is it a 'fixed' or 'moving' electrode type. If 'moving' does it have a heat exchanger installed? Also, could you advise the type of application it was designed for. Those extra little bits of information may help to put a dollar value against it. bob
Hi GGoss, Thanks for your reply. The starter is a moving electrode type with no heat exchanger. It was initially purchased to be installed on a fan. Thanks and Regards. Bob
GGOSS
Hi Bob, I guess we are about to break all the rules regaridng commerical posts..........big time! Some quick research suggests that someone looking to purchase a 'new' 500kW moving electrode slip ring motor starter without heat exchanger should be budgeting at around $10k - $11k Australian. Not sure how much that helps you but I hope it gives you a starting point to progress from. Regards, GGOSS
