marke
Hello fueldog I will assume that his motor is an induction motor rather than a shaded pole or universal motor. Single phase induction motors have two windings physically displaced from each other. One winding is usually referred to as the run winding and the other is the start winding. The start winding is often switched out of circuit once the motor gets up to full speed. For more information see http://www.lmphotonics.com/single_phase_m.htmTo reverse the direction of the motor, reverse the connections to one winding only. It does not matter which one, it is the polarity of one winding relative to the other that matters, and that is all that there is to it.
