AB2005
Hello everybody We are erecting a second hand Corrugator machine. According to the drawing, there are two Earth Bars in the Cabinet. Earth Bar #1 is marked as “PE/EQP” where we have connected the external Ground cable and the second earth bar has marked as “EQS” where all the ground cables of Sensors, Drives, and Power Supply etc are connected. The designer has connected a 100Ohem 5Watt resister in between two earth bars (PE/EQP and EQS). I have asked about it to the French technician but he has no answer. Can anybody explain me the purpose of resister in between two earth bars? Thanks for any input. "Don't assume any thing, always check/ask and clear yourself". Usually the two earths are connrcted together near earth pit .In case PE path is broken power earth currents may enter EQS which is harmful, therefor the extra resistance .
