SAKTHIVEL
hi every body, i would like to start the 100HP motor with DOL starter. My supply network can withstand the inrush current of the 100 HP motor. what could be the (electrical or mechanical) limitations ?? . what are the factors we have to consider?? marke
Hello SAKTHIVEL Welcome to the forum The two major issues with DOL starting, are the severe current overload during start which can cause voltage disturbances on the supply, and the high starting torque and shock loading that can damage your equipment. If these are not problems, then DOL is a simple and economic starter.
