marke
Hello arshadmahmood Welcome to the forum It is difficult to write a simple answer to such a broad question. Please try to be more specific with your questions and it is easier to provide an answer. An SCR is a Silicon Controlled Rectifier. In it's normal state, it behaves like an open circuit in both directions. You can trigger an SCR by applying a current to the gate, and in the triggered state, it behaves like a rectifier. That is, it allows current to flow from the anode to the cathode. Once the SCR has been triggered ON, it will continue to conduct forward current until the forward current stops, at which time it commutates to the OFF state. For more information, please aske specific questions.
