A0,A1 and A2 are the address inputs for the EEROM and are used to select the address of the device.

To talk to the device, you must use the right address.

If you leave the inputs open, then the address is probably undefined. I believe that you must connect the address pins to ground or +5 depending on the address that you want.


The device address is 1 0 1 0 A2 A1 A0 There are eight possible addresses for this device.


Some ICs have an internal pull up, but relting on this in a noisy environment is not a good idea. I will always terminate all inputs with a 1 or a 0 to ensure that the address is properly defined.
