colinsmith
Hi, I have trawled through your topics and have decided that "Phase Savers" are not quite what they seem. I have seen up to a 60% reduction in the current consumption of a small motor. The current to the motor is 2.4amps, but the current to phase saver is under 1 amp. So my question is, if the power consumed by the motor is still the same, what current does a clamp meter measure? Does it only measure the Reactive current component of the used power? Can someone please help me just to sort my head out. Cheers Colin
