billstrong
Hi, I am designing a three phase inverter using IGBT to driver a three phase induction motor ,it is recommended to add some sunbbers to the circuit. what kind of snubbers are suitable for three phase inverter? RCD OR RC? It would be highly appreciated if you can provide a reference circuit! Thanks!
marke
Hello billstrong It really depends on where on the circuit you are using them and why you are using them. With modern devices and layout practices, it is common to use snubbers across the DC supply terminals of the of the BUS applied to the modules to compensate for any stray inductance in the supply. It is not so common to apply the snubbers across the individual devices except where the circuit layout requires this. Best regards, Mark.
