marke Posted July 5, 2009 Report Share Posted July 5, 2009 Hello Muff You need to know what the shaft power is before you can calculate the power consumption. If the motor was operating at rated load, you could calculate the consumption from the rated power divided by the efficiency multiplied by the time, but the power consumed changes with load and it is probable that the motor will not be operating at rated load so this calculation does not mean anything.
