Hello

I wonder if you can help me with my project simulation.

I want to simulate (on orcad ) a soft starting 3-ph. induction motor using

space vector modulation SVM technique.

I have a problem in generating the gating signals using SVM.

So if you can help , it will be a great thing from you.

Its urgent

Thank you for your great help

Salam

Hello salamee

Are you trying to model space vector modulation for soft starters, or for inverters. Space vector modulation is a term used to describe the regeneration of three phase vectors from a DC source. This is applicable to inverters, but not the classic soft starter where the three phase is not recreated, simply reduced in magnitude by the use of phase controlled thyristors.

Thanks Marke

The simulation i am intending to do is for a total system consists of 16F877 pic m.controller, IGBT switches with their drivers, filter and a three phase induction motor as a load .

The PIC 16F877 will be programmed using PICBasic language using Space Vector Modulation Technique.

This is the Situation , so if any can help in any part I will be very thankful

Hello salamee

This is essentially inverter technology, not soft start technology. You should concentrate your search on inverters and variable speed drives.
