Simple Motor Control

I am looking for a simple circuit to control a 12v dc motor. Basically a foot pedal would start the motor. the motor would run a gear which would have a preset stop which would hit a switch and reverse the motor to its starting point, then when the foot pedal is pressed again it would start over. I had electronics 25 years ago and am quite rusty if anyone can help with a simple circuit design it would be greatly appreciated.
