Uttamkumar
I have a dual speed motor of 40 HP , 2900 rpm and 1450 rpm. We had planned star- delta starter but as per motor manufacturer, the motor can be started through dol starting only. Also the motor will instantly catch the full speed. Hence I would like to know is there any other mechanism to reduce the starting torque and full speed/time can be delayed.
marke
I would recommend that you use a soft starter with two parameter sets, one set for hih speed and one for low speed. This will reduce the start and thereby increase the start time. Best regards, Mark.
