Frequency Question (maybe Again...)

Recommended Posts

I have an espresso maker from Malaysia. I am going to get a step-up voltage transformer to accommodate the 110 - 220 conversion. What should I do about the frequency (50Hz to 60 Hz) difference?

What does you mean by "espresso"?

Transformer can not change the frequency. If you want to run a motor, you would have to install a frequency Inverter to change the frequency.

Hello etom

Some machines will be frequency dependent and others will not.

If the coffee maker is fitted with an electric induction motor, it will be affected by the frequency. If there is not an induction motor fitted, then operating a 50Hz machine at 60Hz will probably not be an issue.

Best regards,
