Capacitor Discharge Standard

Is there any standard or at least best practise for answering the folowing question:

How fast should DC-link capacitor be discharge? Does the AC drive designer have to follow any standard?

I seem to recall that in the USA, there is a standard that requires the dc bus caps be discharged to less than 50 volts within 1-minute.

 

Don't recall if it was a U.L./CUL (UL-508?) or NFPA or NEMA standard...but there was/is a standard that drive designers must

comply with.
