jOmega
I am interested in how to calculate the rod speed and torque for PCP pumps with gearbox using a variable speed drive. I am mostly interested those used in the oil industry for oil wells, does anyone have any supporting literature or can advise me? Me thinks the reason for lack of replies to your query is that you are seeking a simplistic answer to a very complex and multi-faceted subject. In large part, the answer would seem to lie within the design of a specific pump and the application thereof. Ergo, there is no ONE answer that is applicable to "all" PCP pump designs and applications. Suggestion: Pick a PCP pump manufacturer - contact their application / engineering department and have a rudimentary discussion with them. Be prepared to provide them with specific application detail. Good luck! jΩ
