inoxo
Hi All, I'm an undergraduate doing vacation work and I've been asked to model a Type A wind turbine in Matlab/Simulink. Everything has been going well, I modelled my soft starter with the output just connected to a resistive/inductive load to make sure it worked and it is all working as expected. The problem arises when I connect it to the generator. Instead of a clipped 3phase waveform I end up with a square wave with all three phases in phase with each other at about 3 times the frequency (i.e. looks like 3rd harmonic). Is this something that can happen with a soft starter or is this an artefact of my simulation?
marke
That doews not happen in real life, so I would say it is a problem with your simulation.
