prashant kumar
Hello i am trying to make a pick and place robot. but confused about which type of motor should be used, if high precision is required. I also want to remain in economy!!Should it be DC servo/ ac servo/ or brushless motor or varaible reluctance syn. motor.please advice thank you prashant kumar Text
marke
Hello prashant kumar I suspect that for this, you are looking at small power ratings.I would look at a stepper motor. Easy to control and no feedback required. prashant kumar
thanks markbut i need to control the motor very precisely, and also require high torque at low speed, so feedback is essential. cud u provide some support.thanks in advance. marke
Hello prashant kumar Yes, I guessed that and that is why I suggested the stepping motor option. The stepping motor gives you total control over position and speed with torque as well, unless you need a high power rating. prashant kumar
hello I m trying to make a pick & place robot. but the motor selection is very typical task.as the vendors are not easily available in india. and they ask for heavy amount. could anyone suggest what type of motor should i use along with their approx. market price. I would prefer motor with feedback but no stepper please, because of some strignent requirements. the other query is that i haver got an used motor through some vendor but unable to find its datasheet, the motor is AC servo type and with 5 leads soming out of it. i m confused about is construction? it may be : brushless ac , 2 phsae servo or 3 phase servo.or any other type.please answerthanks in advance
