Getting an education

Hello,

 

I am in the market for a good book on motors and on motor control. If I was to buy one book on each topic, and wanted to spend my money in the wisest way, which two books would you say was my best buy? I bought an older book on ebay on motors but it was not technical enough. Any suggestions?

It really depends on what you want and at what level.

The two books that I use a lot are a book on rotating machines by Say, I think it is out of print but I have seen it advertised on Amazon at times, and the Control Techniques book on drives by Bill Drury.

You may find a second hand version somewhere.

 

Unfortunately, I have not found the perfect book, so you need to shop around and find what suits you.
