Guest
I am wanting to calculate the kvars required for a power factor correction system. I understand i could use Busbar.exe or similar, but am keen to look at the formulas myself. Question is, what is the formula to get kvars required, freom the magnetising current. Thanks. marke
HiHave a read of the power factor page on our website and that will give you some information. To correct for the magnetisining current using static power factor correction, you should apply capacitive VARs at no more than 80% of the inductive VARs (magnetising current) Best regards, Mark Empson | administratorSkype Contact = markempson | phone +64 274 363 067LMPForum | Power Factor | L M Photonics Ltd | Empson family | Advanced Motor Control Ltd | Pressure Transducers | Smart Relay | GSM Control | Mark Empson Website | AuCom | Soft Starters
