Single pump controller with dry run protection

Here is a simple solution for using the FDU on single pump irrigation systems with a pipe fill operation and a sleep mode operation. This solution provides over flow protection (broken pipe) and under flow protection (dry pump).

 

Operational Parameters

parameter : function : Suggested start point

500 : Running Pressure : Dependent on transducer

321B : Pipe Fill Speed : 30 - 35 Hz

822 : Pipe Fill Pressure : About 10-20% running pressure

321A : Minimum speed : Set to keep pumping (30-40Hz)

322A : Maximum speed : 50Hz

28F : Sleep frequency : Equal to or greater than min speed (321A)

28G : Sleep Delay : 30 seconds

28H : Wakeup pressure : 50-90% of running pressure

817 : Broken Pipe Torque : 90 - 120%

819 : Dry Pump : Under torque 10 - 20%

 

Connections

Link : #10 to #20

Link : #21 to #22

Start : #8 to #11

Pressure Transducer : #3 (-ve) to #11 (+ve)
