kevind
In the diagram for power factor correction, it shows the caps wired together in a wye arrangement. Is there any problem to wiring them in delta so that the caps could take advantage of the higher line voltage?
marke
Hi kevindWelcome to the forum. Capacitors can be wired in star or in delta, there is no difference to the supply. You m aust ensure that the appropriate values are use though as the star values are different to the delta values. (KVAR remains the same, but the uF changes)You need to use higher voltage capacitors in delta connection than in star, check the cost differential.
