does band pass and band stop each have series and parallel confugiration?

i read it does and dopes not in different books.

It depends on the type of filter, but generally, the filters would be made up of both series and parallel components.

the problem is

 

bandpass is the series connt of highpass and lowpass filters

bandstop is the parallel connection of highpass and lowpass filters.

 

i am presently interested in passive filters.this is what i got from most websites and texts.but then there r a few which say

 

there is series and parallel connt in bandstop and bandpass.

 

i am confused!;p;
