Hi,I want to know about probable techniques for energy conservation for coal based steam power plant auxiliaries like boiler feed water pump,cooling tower ,ESP etc.

Hello lalmehal

You can save energy on machines that are operationg inefficiently.
The major culprits are pumps where the flow is less thanwould be normal at full speed due to the pump being "throttled back" by closed valves etc. If you slow the pump down, the pump efficiency will increase. Similarly fans where the airflow is controlled by damper vanes. Reduce the speed of the fans and dispense with the dampers.
