AB2005
Hi, The management of my company has given me a task to calculate a genset (Diesel Engine and Alternator) for a machine. The load data of machine is as following; Input voltage = 400VAC Frequency = 50HZ Main Motor = 37KW, 4poles (Eddy current motor) Auxiliary motors = 2 x 2.2KW, 4poles Setting motors = 4 x 0.45KW, 8poles I have no more experience for genset sizing. I have read the paper "Genset sizing" by Marke, but I haven't cleared. Please help me. Thanks in advance. "Don't assume any thing, always check/ask and clear yourself". marke
Hello AB2005 If you download my Electrical Calculations software from busbar32.exe you will find calculations for genset sizing under the supply menu. In you case, you can assume a single motor as the small ones are insignificant. Hope this helps.
