Riyad
Hi all, What is meant by the motor relay was tested at 1.0 p.u. of FLA? and what is greater 5.5 p.u. or 1.0 p.u? Thanks
jraef
I've never been absolutely sure, but to me "p.u." means "per unit", a shorthand way of saying "multiples. So in your context, it means that the relay is tested at a multiplier of 1.0 x the FLA. It follows then that 5.5 p.u. would be 550% of FLA. "He's not dead, he's just pinin' for the fjords!"
